HydroCourt
The original and best hydrocourt system.
Self-regulating irrigation
HydroCourt is a self-regulating system, fully adjustable to player preferences, designed to water your tennis court from beneath the surface.
HydroCourts are constructed with individually controlled cells. A separate water-filled control box monitors each cell. Water enters the control box and flows through pipes to cells.
As the water level in the control box rises, the water level under the court also rises. You control the moisture in the court surface by adjusting the water level in the control box up or down. It's that simple.

HydroCourt is a self‑regulating, subsurface‑irrigated clay court system that uses a network of water‑filled control boxes and pipes to keep six individual cells evenly moistened beneath the Har‑Tru surface, delivering consistent play with far less day‑to‑day maintenance than a traditional clay court.hartru

Unlike standard clay courts that rely on manual watering or overhead sprinklers—leading to uneven moisture, dusty patches, and soft spots—the HydroCourt waters the court from below, automatically maintaining a stable water table so the surface stays firm, uniformly moist, and ready for play throughout the day.

The HydroCourt system on the West Coast is exclusively installed and maintained by Anthony Lopez of Soft Court Services, the authorized successor to the system’s original builder; visitors who want to discuss new courts, renovations, or maintenance.

Each HydroCourt is constructed as six subsurface‑irrigated cells lined with a durable polyethylene liner and filled with compacted stone screenings, topped with approximately one inch of Har‑Tru HydroBlend, with water distributed through panel pipes and controlled by adjustable control boxes to fine‑tune moisture, drainage, and long‑term maintenance intervals.
